Thanks for Thanksgiving

Teaching children to give thanks for what they have is a wonderful thing to instill at an early age. During the week of Thanksgiving, we practiced giving gratitude.

From Garden to the Table

Since this week has been fun-filled with candy, sugar, costumes, and parties, we decided to focus our theme on healthy eating. We based our learning around the books: Stone Soup and Growing Vegetable Soup. Throughout the week we discovered different types of vegetables that grow in the ground could be used to make a delicious soup.

The children helped prepare the soup by cutting vegetables and herbs...

After an entire day of preparation, we were able to enjoy our soup!

The Lions enjoyed the Red and Blue Celery Experiment

Our conclusion: Celery is like a straw and "drinks" the colored water.

And just for fun!
